How is it refurbished?

At Prime Stairlifts, we prepare and test all models thoroughly before leaving us for their new homes to ensure they are in complete working order. Any worn or broken parts on our refurbished stairlifts are replaced with genuine manufacturer parts*.

We only ever offer products that perform exceptionally and reliably and are comfortable. A stairlift will only receive the reconditioned seal of approval when it meets our rigorous quality and safety standards.

Do I have to pay VAT on a stairlift?

Since a stairlift is a mobility product Prime Stairlifts will not charge you VAT.

Can I rent a stairlift?

What happens if a stairlift breaks down?

Stairlifts have LED displays that indicate an error on the lift. It is important to take note that when the stairlift is traveling or has reached its destination a number or code will be displayed.

This is normal and should only be questioned if the lift isn't working. If in the rare circumstance the lift isn't working Prime Stairlifts does provide a warranty in case of a breakdown call us and we will sort it out.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more than straight stairlifts?

Curved stairlifts cost more since the rail is made to measure.

What if I want my stairlift removed?
If you have bought your stairlift from Prime Stairlifts we will have the option to buy back the stairlift. If bought elsewhere feel free to call us on 0800 970 8636 as we may be interested in the stairlift.
What if I don't want to sit down and use the stairlift?

How is a stairlift fitted?
Stairlifts are always fitted to the stairs.  A long time ago some manufactures fitted them to the walls. However, by having them fitted to the stairs the stairlift can accommodate more weight and therefore be used to a wider audience.
What are the maximum weight limits on a straight stairlift?

Maximum weight limits will vary from the make and model. However, in industry, the maximum weight limit is 31.5 stone. In our portfolio we offer the model Bruno Heavy Duty straight stairlifts with an impressive lift capacity of 30stone/190kg.

What is the maximum weight on a curved stairlift?

The maximum weight is 25 stone on the Bespoke Infinity stairlift where as other manufactures will vary between 18-21.5 stone.
