What makes up the cost of a stairlift?

Stairlifts can come in all shapes and sizes and so can the price. There are a number of factors that can influence the total cost of a new stairlift installation.

Straight stairlift costs will vary on these three factors

#1. Staircase measurements.
#2. Stairlift model & features.
#3. Additional work needed (such as a removal of a radiator if it would obstruct a stairlift ) 83% of straight staircases that Prime Stairlifts survey have 12-13 steps and don’t require additional extras.

Prime stairlifts can provide the option of a new or reconditioned stairlift.
The surveys that we provide are free and of no obligation and will last for six months. The average cost of a reconditioned straight stairlift in 2020 is £1195 whereas, for a new straight stairlift in 2020, the average cost is £1995.

All straight stairlifts come with a minimum of 12 months warranty, with the option of adding more at the point of sale or before the term ends.

Curved stairlift costs will vary on these three factors

All curved stairlifts are made to measure and therefore a technical survey needs to be carried out before a stairlift is installed. Due to this factor prices can vary depending on a few factors.

#1. The number of times the rail has to bend on the stairs
#2. The features of the chair
#3. How the rail would finish at the bottom of the stairs.

The average cost in 2022 for a reconditioned stairlift with Prime Stairlifts was £3195 whereas new curved stairlifts were averaging £4698.
